Romania takes the classical barrel form and builds it in stone-coated aluminium. The wave is deeper than anything else in our stone-coated range, so the roof reads as substantial and heavily modelled from the street — but each panel still weighs a fraction of what a clay or concrete tile roof would put on your structure.
The build-up is the same one we use across the stone-coated range: an aluminium-zinc substrate, an acrylic base coat, a layer of natural stone granules and a clear acrylic overglaze that locks the granules in place. It will not crack, curl or fade, it holds its colour through the harmattan and the rains, and the mineral surface deadens rain noise and reflects heat.
Because the profile is deep, it suits large uninterrupted roof planes where the shadow line has room to work — villas, hotels, churches and estate housing rather than small, broken-up roofs.
