Milano is built up from an aluminium-zinc substrate, an acrylic base coat, a layer of natural stone granules and a clear acrylic overglaze that locks the granules in place. The result is a roof that keeps its colour through the harmattan and the rains, insulates better than bare metal, and weighs a fraction of what a concrete tile roof would put on your structure.
The stone surface also deadens rain noise noticeably and reflects enough heat to make a real difference to the temperature in the rooms below — which matters on a top floor under a Nigerian afternoon.
Panels are fixed in a way that holds fast in high wind, and are supplied with matching ridge, hip, barge and valley accessories in the same finish so the details are as clean as the field of the roof.
